Please can you help. I have just purchased an old wardrobe and I'm not sure of its age. Does anybody know the period of this wardrobe. It has a mirror inside and coat hook hangers.

    Regards Jamie

I would describe it as a Priory Style hall wardrobe, from around 20-30`s.
    I can`t give these away.

In the UK a Wardrobe is
a large, tall cabinet in which clothes may be hung or stored.
( closet, armoire, locker, cupboard, cabinet)

Yeah, popular in USA till closets started being built in homes here around 1900, then they became obsolete and considering their size, difficult to deal with.

I've sold a few such as this, and an old telephone booth, for their original purpose - to the oh-so-chic who buy $1,750,000 lofts and realize then that their guest shave to drop their coats on the floor.....but all that open space looks cool in the photo spread, huh?
