    Just saying....
While I can not speak for other countries “Freedom of Speech” does not mean you can say what ever you damn well please. It is a Constitutional right that states you will not be persecuted by the government for saying it. While the government gives you freedom of speech, no one else needs to. If you can not conduct yourself in my home in a respectful and non-aggressive manner, you have no rights here and will be asked to 1.tone it down, 2.leave, 3.forcefully removed.

I am but a welcomed visitor here. Thank you all very much.

This imbecile, that calls himself a conservative, is as clueless about conservatism as he is a compodimonte. Base on his PM to Davey, he is clueless about liberalism too. Just clueless, I think will cover him completely pretty well.

I my opinion, he is from the Burger King Generation(Have it Your Way). Sadly I have a nephew in this class, who has spent his entire life, self-imprisoned by choice typing away at lightning speed with impunity. Never interacting with others with any of their five senses, seeing, touching, hearing, smelling and taste, all that delightfully compels us to be humanized. He is oblivious to the world except that which lies at his keyboard and screen.

More sadly, it was my generation that has given these lost souls the tools to do so. Forgive them, for they know not what they do.

I sometimes think that when new posters ask for help on an object, they have a pre conceived idea, sometimes due to family legend, of what they are posting. Sometimes they cannot see the difference between something similar, which is really good, and theirs. When they do not receive the answers they expect to hear, they get quite annoyed, as they are answers they do not want to hear. I have really enjoyed this thread and have had a good laugh, something we need in these times.

Exactly! Many people don't have any idea of what the Constitution says, let alone what it means. The Bill of Rights portion of the Constitution is specifically written that the "government" shall not infringe upon those rights. Even then if there is a good enough reason the courts have generally ruled that even the 1st amendment can indeed be infringed upon. You cannot falsely scream "Fire" in a crowded theatre, you will get arrested by the government.

In college I was in a Constitutional Law class where we unpacked the meaning of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and the hundreds of years of court cases and legal precedent that have been created from it. It was incredibly insightful, it is a shame that these topics are not more widely known and debated since they impact everyone and many people on both the political left and right might be amazed that what they consider to be a "right" may have limits and that polite society may be letting them test the limits of what is allowed.

Are we done here now he’s banned? I’ve run out of popcorn :hilarious:
Hope he didn’t hurt your feelings @clutteredcloset49

No he didn't hurt my feelings. Thank you for asking.

I'm fairly certain I've answered some of his other questions and never had this kind of reaction.

In a way I feel bad for him.
This covid stuff is causing all kinds of bad tempers. Just watching the way people are driving around here. The way they are acting in the grocery stores when someone else isn't wearing a mask. People are showing sides that normally they wouldn't.

It was the end of the month, maybe he didn't have rent and thought he had found his million dollar prize. We dashed his hopes.
We also put him on the defensive. (Including me who demanded an apology)

Doesn't excuse his response. He should have taken a breath and come back later in the day.

That happens almost daily and there isn’t that reaction. As you say though, probably more too it than meets the eye, there usually is when people fire off like that.

The things I have gone through, the hardships, betrayals, pain, and struggles. through it all God has been the one constant. how can I be sure God is real? because I have seen Him first hand, in my relationship. I have seen His mighty hand working in my life, I have heard His voice, I have seen His promises come to life, and He has never left my side. If you ground your life on the rock of a personal relationship with God, when the storms come, you will not be destroyed.

Oh and by the look of it ,

    Pies too.
