Antique Keys. Can anyone give me info on them?

Hello all. These keys were found during a demolition, under the floor boards of an old jail in New Orleans. The building has not been a jail in over 100 years and have been in the floor at least for that long. Just wondering if they are worth anything??

The one I am really interested in is the one with Greek ( I think) writing that says "1703" on it.

Thanks for any help in advance!

    Hello and welcome.

Cool keys, I like the one on the ring as well.
    Yes keys are collectible.

Is it possible for you to get a closer picture of the lettering on the 1703 key. It is probably a fraternal key of some sort. Just my guess.

Wait for others we come and go at all hours, so be sure to check back.

Good job with the extra picture. Not something I can help with.
I see you have this in the General Discussion. This forum is not as visible.
Might do better in Antique Discussion, more people will see it.

@Bookahtoo or @daveydempsey can you move this thread please.

Looks like Cyrillic letters, so Russian is a good first line of research.

    Got it !!!!

The Peter and Paul Fortress is the original citadel of St. Petersburg, Russia, founded by Peter the Great in 1703 and built to Domenico Trezzini's designs from 1706 to 1740 as a star fortress.[1] Between the first half of 1700s and early 1920s it served as a prison for political criminals. It has functioned as a museum since 1924.[2]

Today it has been adapted as the central and most important part of the State Museum of Saint Petersburg History. The museum has gradually become virtually the sole owner of the fortress building, except the structure occupied by the Saint Petersburg Mint (Monetniy Dvor).

    Nice find, komo!

Would suspect a souvenir key, then.

Wow, very interesting! So I am guessing the key was a souvenir of some sort maybe? I have googled searched it for some time but have never seen one like it.
