The ad office I worked at had an art dept that used to use mylar on their boards when they constructed the layouts for catalogs so you could add clear layers with changes for multiple test mailings (direct mail). That's all I got.

Some restaurant or shop owner would go gaga for all that gold. The problem is going to be shipping it.

Sassy, do you think something like this is what you have? (Is yours self-adhesive when you remove that backing?):

Gold or Chrome "mirror mylar" 10 yard rolls
    30” wide: $ 148.00/roll

This is a thin, self-adhesive film for decorating, backdrops and window art. For application to a clean, non-porous surface.

Sold by the 10 yard roll. Choose the size (widths: 15", 24" or 30") desired. Also available in 50 yard lengths as indicated. Ask if you want that length.

I've got to say that I don't find the gold-papered guy in post #20 to be attractive. Maybe this lady though:

If they do a remake of the movie "Goldfinger" I think your mylar would come in handy.

It's definitely not adhesive SBSVC, more like 'clingy'. When I peel it back from the backing it has the consistency of a layer of a gold leaf sheet. But not as fragile

I haven't taken it all out of the package and inspected it yet but I'll be selling it.
If it were fabric I'd have a use for it but it's not

You'll be the first to know Bookahtoo! I have yet to know what it is that I have here [check yardage, any damages etc., etc.] there are 3 separate bolts all together, may take a bit of time, and I have no idea what it's worth but I'm happy to let it go!
    Thank you
