Hi! I'm having trouble finding anything at all regarding this ST Dupont lighter, and thinking it may be rare???

Markings on top - under lift arm:
65 (appears that each numeral is individually hand stamped)

    Markings on bottom:
    FAB EN FRANCE
    S.T.D. 74-14
(Circle or "O" with wings mark)
    ("BL" mark)

Made of unknown non magnetic metal.

    Thank you!!!!

    Nick

After looking online it appears that one of the stamps is a winged wheel....not an "O" with wings as I originally stated. :)

you have good pics but I can't see the circle with wings...or STD....
And I can not find another......
I could only find one other french lighter with a double wheel , and it wasn't identical....
    sorry....
    I can not say it's a S.T.Dupont.

Not that I know but it does look like it may have been made by a French jeweler, why not try looking up French hallmarks? Almost every hi end company made this sort of lighter from Cartier to Dunhill.

That must be an old listing....but while ( Marked : Fab. En France S.T.D. 74-14 (in 1940 DUPONT joins in Paris and obtains the number 75-215) corresponds to your lighter..... that doesn't authenticate it as a S.T.Dupont !

    & 74-14.......is not 75-215....!

I wonder if 74-14 could be attributed to another maker....but I don't know how to find that out ...:sorry::sorry:

Thanks for your help everybody! I heard back from an expert this morning please see his remarks below:

This is a very rare SIMON TISSOT DUPONT made in the 1930´s years
74 is the french département of manufacturer, 74= Haute-Savoie. This lighter was made in Faverges. ( https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faverges )
The BL stamp is for « briquet de Luxe » (luxury lighter)
The stamp with tire and wings is the stamp of ST DUPONT.
That’s a very hard to find lighter for collector’s! I believe this to be the first ST Dupont model produced. See pic.

No judgement here my friend! I had the same question. It is brass & silver plated.
