    Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me identify the maker or at least date of these chairs! there is a floral insignia in the middle part of the chair back...see photos.

No idea but those are NICE. Not sure of the age even; I've never seen an Arts&Crafts chair with a rush seat before. Then again I'm not that up on Craftsman-era chairs.

Look a bit like these English Arts and Crafts chairs.

Makes sense. The OP didn't say which side of the Atlantic the chairs were on.

I wondered where they were, too. They look Edwardian and in the manner of Mackintosh: many makers derived designs. Rush seats were common. If I saw them here, I'd say oak.

Thanks for the Mackintosh reference. I just found this tile attributed to charles rennie mackintosh that bears a floral design that has some similarities to the one found on the chairs...

That whole lily/acanthus/stylised floral was very much the thing. Mackintosh was one of the prime exponents, but many others used it.

Liberty chairs ought to have a carved mark or a plate somewhere.

They sold for $600 in July of 2017. Auction estimate was $750-$900.
