Ah, not the kind of duck you were thinking I bet :). Went to the Wednesday flea market this morning and saw this duck and had to give it a new home. It measures 12 inches from beak to tail so it is a nice size. Ended up getting it for 5$ so I was happy. What "quacks" me up is the Chinese (?) mark on the back - "STAFFORDSMIRE" - I thought that was pretty funny. I haven't tried researching this yet so if anybody has any quick info, please share, Thanks!

Oh, dear. With the "Victoria" and the ridiculous misspelling of Staffordshire, my first guess is "Chinese" trying to pretend to be English.

The duck is cute and for 5 bucks not exactly a great loss of $$. But at least you know what you have now.

    Enjoy him!

A number have sold in the 20-30 range on ebay according to worthpoint. Might be a junk mark but it still has a good look to it.

A mire would seem to be a natural duck habitat.

Oh Yeah - maybe they meant "STAFFORDS MIRE" :) where they modeled the duck from swimming around in it! LOL!!!!!!

LOL - the only book I have is a phone book. And I don't know why - I look everything up on the PC.

If you still have a active land line and an old phone you can still call out if the cell and net goes down. :)
