    Good evening everyone,

For tonight's edition of "let's play a game" I have some photos for your consideration. Sadly this one didn't get purchased by me...the seller wasn't willing to ship. But someone scored big time!! Price for the entire listing was $75. So, evaluate these images, and comment on your observations of what looks good/bad and what you would want more photos of:

Bowl with fruit-branch decoration (love it) and the taller pot also in pic 1 ... I'd ask for more photos of the small serving dishes ... and would think there is some fabulous cutlery. I know nowt about this stuff but $75 sounds fantastic.

Glass coasters. Rims are often as not sterling.

All of the spoons have possibilities, would need to see reverse. The ribbed pot could bear investigation, not sure if that is glare or wear on the ribs and base. If you happened to have a bowl to fit, the bride's basket would be a nice bonus.
Agree with CheersDears, the server with foliage is pretty, even if it is plate.

Sorry if someone didn't get a chance to guess, but I just have to post the photos before bed...Once I saw these I did everything in my power to quickly purchase the entire lot, but the seller just wasn't interested in shipping. I even offered to pay his full asking price for just the silverware....If this makes your heart ache, you have the same disease as me....an addiction to silver. Perhaps I will feel better if we figure out the dates and regions of these beauties???

So nothing else amounted to much? Just the cutlery? Sorry you missed it, Mr Nate.

I didn't get my vote in, but I wouldn't have bothered with any of the hollowware.

I don't know....realize that when I'm inquiring I can't exactly say "hey, can you show me photos of the bottom of everything in your listing"....It's a delicate balance to pick items I think are potentially real without annoying the seller. It's very easy for the seller to say "look buddy, this is a lot of effort, I'm only asking $75, take it or leave it" so my experience has been to pick items which look most interesting...That said, i'll never know if anything else was real because once the buyer showed me the photos, and I offered immediately to purchase, and they said no shipping, they aren't going to continue the conversation and show anymore photos (not that I would ask at that point)...Thank you CheersDears :) :)

Somebody scored. I saw what looked like a George III reign mark on at least one piece.(wahhhhhh!) If they weren't willing to ship, at that point I might tell them why I'd wanted it. Good karma for the next one, if you will.

I hate to beat a dead horse Nate...but....could you have asked if any of your pals here were in close proximity??

yup, the ones that get away always make my heart ache, but keep hunting, there will be more great scores coming your way Mr Nate:)
Look to be some old pieces! I can only make out a couple of marks, one that looks to be London Phillip Phillips 1826-34 Flatware, another looks like London William Sumner I 1784- 1803 flatware

Admittedly I didn’t think of that. I offered to send a payment by mail including a prepaid padded envelope and $75 for just the silverware... seller told me they had local interest and that was the end of the discussion

They may have figured out what they had and just didn't want to say so.

I've had that happen, for this one I definitely think they sold it to someone local. I'm pretty good at sensing if the seller has "solved the puzzle"...Right after the seller sent me the photos, they wrote "Most of the knives are stainless steel, don't know the markings on the spoons" and it was sold a few hours later.
