HELP w/UNUSUAL PAINTING COVERED IN HEBREW(?), ARABIC(?), LATIN(??) WRITING

Hi all
I found this moving a stack of paintings. It is painted on board. Can anyone tell me anything about it?
What language is written all over it? (My best guess would be Arabic?)
What do the figures represent?
Anything would make me more informed than I am now!

Idle guess would be Ethiopean. No idea what their writing looks like, but it reminds me of magic scrolls.

Thank tou - we had a Coptic church here in Miami many years ago; it was based in a mansion on Star Island (where Madonna & Shaq have houses) and they were known for the constant marijuana use they smoked as part of their beliefs!

 

It’s still on my to do list to learn more about Coptic church. Now you really got me interested

 

Wait a minute. Who was smoking? Madonna and Shaq or church guys? Just kidding.

 

Now on serious note, I think it was not marijuana. Orthodox use special incense in their rituals. Some are strong but rather pleasant smell. I’m sure it was that that you smell.

 

Sounds more like Rastafarians (the marijuana smokers), which do have connections to Ethiopia in their beliefs.

Not the same as the traditional Coptic Church in Ethiopia.

 

@2manybooks - Ahh. That makes a lot more sense. I had the traditional Coptic Church in my mind, and it didn't compute.
