Just bought a figurine from one of the estate sales here in Upstate NY, and tried to figure out whom this mark belongs to but I failed.

Mark with Red Crown and letters E (could be lower case epsilon)-M-L follow separated by X. This crown seems similar to the one used in Royal Derby mark, but not sure if it comes from Germany, France, or U.K.

This mark is located on the backside of the figurine, not the bottom side.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Given its position and nature, I'm inclined to think the mark is more likely that of a decorator than a manufacturer.

    Isn't that a pleasant surprise!

This is the second time someone has shown a Derby mark that I took to be German.

Awww...glad to help. As far as age, believe him to be in the 1806-1825 range from the Nottingham Road factory. He's grand!
