Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I picked up this little gem in an auction and now have it for sale on our website, but I haven't been able to find much on it and would like to put some more information, and as well as personal knowledge. If anyone came help it would be much appreciated. The only info I could find is that it was made around the 30's in Japan and the brand name is "Little Homemaker" that's it. I can't find many of this on the internet think it might be rare as it is a delicate child's toy. clean up set_cut.jpg clean up set1_cut.jpg clean up set2_cut.jpg

I'm wondering if that little 'dust pan' should be heading DOWNWARD and not covering the graphics of the woman's face.....I wouldn't think good advertising otherwise!!!! JMHO!!!! I'm pretty sure it's pretty small, but you forgot to give a size reference, I think????

EDIT: Digging a little deeper, I think this prefaced OR was somehow a part of the Hoover Vacuum Mfg co.... SAME UPSIDE DOWN TEXT on the LITTLE RED SWEEPER IN UPSIDE DOWN TEXT AS, IN THE HOOVER AD in 1950,
    from a 1950 Maywood, Illinois Newspaper.....THE HERALD......

Surprised it has survived intact all these years. It is a real treasure!

Dime store item. Hoover apparently was using that tag line as early as 1919. But are you sure your item is 1930s? Her dress looks more 1950s. Would/could you post a photograph of her entire figure including head? Also, how did you identify it as being Little Homemaker as it's not branded as such?

A vintage all original set of metal cleaning tools in original package. The set includes a tin lithograph carpet sweeper, a tin lithograph long handled and hinged dust or crumb collector, a tin lithograph dustpan, and a long handled mop. These items have never been removed from package and are from mid century, 40's to early 50's. The long handled pieces measure 4.5 inches in length and are various widths from .75 inches to 1.75 inches and the dustpan is 1.75 inches wide. They are labeled Big Deal Toys, Packed for Alfred M. Lewis INC., Riverside, California, Made in Japan. These are difficult to find as a set in original package. dollhouse.png
