    Hi All,

I'm new here and was hoping you could help ID some jewelry I've recently acquired. I am thinking these pieces are Czech, 1920's? I'm really not sure though, there are no markings that I can see. I'm almost positive the brooches are Czech. The filigree on the faux pearl earrings make me think Czech. The necklace stumps me. It is exquisite craftsmanship, unfortunately some stones are missing.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!!

I think the pearl earrings may be German, post WW2. Big brooch perhaps Czech, between the wars. Red brooch, post WW2. I don't think the cross is as early as the 20s, from that back. Oblong ones have a bit of a Toledo Ware look.

I think the cross is new made in the old style; the rhinestone setting and colors are both wrong for vintage. That's why the stones fell out. Bear said about what I would have on the rest.

Interesting. I think whatever was there was replaced with newer glass beads.
I would guess the metal framework to be late 60s early 70s. See next post.
If you have a burnisher or bezel pusher you could smooth in the gaps.

Looking again, I'm not sure the drops were original to the screw backs. The screw backs are geometric, the drops are floral and may be later 1980s/90s.

Thanks all for your input, I was pretty off! Now that it's pointed out, those glass beads are definitely not original to the earrings. I was wondering why there were two holes in them. My eye is not as keen

First off @HeatherBell thank you for the fantastic photos, front and back of the pieces. Super helpful!

I've got a different take on the cross. While I don't think 1920's, certainly vintage. Those molded glass pieces (often Czech) can be found in 1960s costume, jewelry etc., even D&E, etc. They are pretty distinctive . Also the chain on that cross is fancier and more ornate than some you see. Really like this piece. I wouldn't mind seeing a close-up on of the clasp of the necklace which is often a help for dating.

Thank you so much Lucille! The clasp on the necklace shows some tarnish and it is not a clasp I have seen from newer jewelry. I really think this is vintage, maybe not as old as I originally thought though! clasp1.jpg clasp2.jpg clasp3.jpg

The chain and clasp look sterling.
There is probably an 1/8th inch space where the arrow is - look for a mark.

I've come across a listing on Ebay with a center piece very similar to what's on my cross. The seller says it's Czech, obviously they could be wrong. czech.jpg

In looking at Czech glass beads.
I believe these are called Pressed Beads. Maybe @Lucille.b can confirm.

That's what its looking to be: Czech pressed glass beads. Or something like that. I know more today than I did yesterday. Thanks all for the help!

Yes! I've seen them described as pressed or molded. Both excellent keywords.
