Returned to Unit from Officer's Training School.

After that, both the squaddies and the Ruperts hate you.

Not that I'd know. I missed National Service by a couple of years, but it might have made a man of me. Or something, anyway. :)

I want to thank you all!!! I'm not going to tell her - let her think she has something rare and special. She doesn't sell and her knowledge of antiques and such is on the low side. If she finds out by herself, I won't know.

But thank you all, again. OX

Are British 'bed warmers' better than American? If so, I will be one the next plane. heehee.

Actually, I am having too much fun in New England. It is so very....New England! Estate sales, tag sales, thrift shops and antique malls.

I hope your speakers are better than what I am getting out of this laptop - Although I am so glad I spent the money for it...

I do miss the beauty and pure sound of my home speakers. They could take me anywhere I wanted to go...

I went to an 'estate sale'. Upon entry, it was clear this was a 'hoarders house'. An older gentleman whom died in the house. Other than filth, there was no evidence of who this man was? Other than his 'things' being carted out the door, there was little to tell who, what and why this man lived and died?

Don, 19 degree, as the news said, this morning. Clear skies and warm clothes passes the elements, so far. I've enjoyed every minute, so far, and looking forward to every day coming up. Happy Camper..

Greg, on a long sabbatical - not sure how long. It's been just over a week...I am a bid homesick, but I'll get over it. Loving New England. Not a place I have spent time in before. It's very beautiful.

    I will, Fig!

I think this is a "fake". Seen a lot of them and as af says, it's simply known as Claridges. On the subject of old brass or copper, it's very common for it to be Indian made.
