We are not experts and are wondering if anyone can give us further information about the piece. Do you think it is a legitimate piece with a legitimate certificate? Thank you!

    Your pictures are too small.
Go back and edit, click full image.

You may need to take a close up of the label.

The "certificate" says it's 20 inches wide, 17 inches deep and 29 inches high. ;)

Here are a couple of the photos - still too small to really see the details:

It does look like a nice little cabinet, however!

Why does it matter? Does it serve your purpose? Do you like it? Did you pay a price you can live with? Have to think that if it really mattered, you would have asked before buying.

The Chinese are notorious for faking everything, including certificates. To my eye, it looks like it might not be as old as purported but suppose it could be. More/better pictures are necessary to really evaluate it. I guess I would also look in to who issued the certificate. Pic is too small to even see it properly.

I realize that. Just playing Devil's advocate in case the answer is not as one would hope.

    CAN I HELP??

i have been looking for a cabinet to put in the entry foyer. About 27" wide, 23 deep and anywhere from about 23 to 36 high.

Been looking in thrift shops and furniture stores. Also on line. That's the closest I have seen in about 6 months. Stain matches, though it might need some retouching.

Can I help? If you decide you don't want it, live close enough, and don't want to double your investment, yes, I may be able to help.

PS. I'm not looking for a certificate claiming anything other than it won't fall apart before I get home. And if you keep it I hope you can forget about the COA. It won't show anyway.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

It's perfectly okay to do that. Although we do like to help ahead of time, as komokwa said -- it's also fine to post after the fact of buying.

Absolutely! I am always just a little curious about why people ask certain things. For example, do you have some doubt about the COA?

If you go back to EDIT and put your cursor at the bottom right of each duplicate and backspace you can clear them away.

Missparis, it doesn't matter when you post a thread.
It is a cute cabinet, whether new, vintage or antique. Forget about the certificate, but we would like to see more pictures, full image please, and also of hinges.
