I hit an estate sale this morning, and the sale hit back. They had some pictures of kitties, but none of them followed me home to meet this kitty.

We have a glass vase, a bronze(?) elephant (formerly had ivory tusks, long since gone) costume, silver and gold jewelry. There's also a hand-enameled globe box and a carved bakelite pin. I'll make my money back on the gold easily.

I haven't bought anything even remotely collectible for months, but pack rats die hard. Today on my walk I noticed a lot of unusual things out for trash collection. Must have been some special pick-up day. I picked up this 18" speaker just because it's so MCM (but now I'll have to turf it).

We have those 'special trash days' in NE Ohio. I have been known to raid a nice trash pile if something spurs my interest!

Darned tootin'! No point in leaving it for the trash man if it's not trash.

I wasn't planning on going hunting this morning, just to a charity thrift that's usually too overpriced to buy much. I got beads and an Egyptian souvenir statuette for a friend. On my way in there was a moving sale right on the main street ... so of course I stopped. No photographs of mine, but I found a Rosenthal porcelain vase for a buck. It'll end up resold locally. I know an antique dealer who'll get a kick out of it. There's a nekkid lady cartoon on the front. Picked up some dyed agate slices and a trilobite fossil for $4 the lot.

Dropped a bread peel with a folding handle off with a friend on my way home. He was happy to see it and me too. His side hustle is baking in a gas-fired pizza oven installed in his back yard. And on the way home there appeared a magic table "Free, everything but the table." I glommed four purses for the consignment store. One purports to be Louis Vuitton. Probably isn't, but at that price.... The others are apparently real, if a much lower tier.

Not the clearest Sig, but not hard to work out either

I'm seeing a few varying prices, but his big pieces look to be priced quite highly
