Bird wall hanging, how to describe?

    Not old, but is this something that would have been hand done? There is a tiny bit of bleeding from the red. Don't have the piece right in front of me but 3 feet high or so.     It's a wall hanging from Ecuador. The basic design is woven on a loom, then the edges of the design are defined by hand-stitching around them. Those birds with the sharp bends in their legs are the iconic bird pattern, found on weaving from Ecuador.

    Thank you, Taupou! Interesting to learn that the bird pattern with sharp bends in the legs means Ecuador. I appreciate the information.

    Thanks too. I got as far as knowing it was Central or S. American and that was it. Good to learn about the birds. Happy Turkey all.
