Made in Italy Ashtray - Can't figure out how to describe

Hello Everyone - I've got this little ashtray which is marked Italy but I'm having trouble researching it. I've tried "fused glass" and "adventurine"but that doesn't seem to be cutting it. The ashtray measures 5" long. It's difficult to see but it does have ITALY spelled out in raised letters on the base. Any help would be much appreciated.

The metallic streaks I believe would be considered/called "aventurine".

You guys are the best! Thank you all for your help. Coming from a German/Irish background on the east coast my exposure to avocados is limited. I also appear to be somewhat spelling challenged!

Having a wife from Chile...I am now a seasoned avocado buyer....& eater !!
I'd hate to use that as an ashtray cuz the colors are just too pretty !!!

Try searching spatter glass, it's sometimes found with metallic inclusions.

 

One of the companies that made this style of glass is Nason of Murano and one of the retailers is Venetian Weil, you can find labels from both on these types of aventurine ashtrays.

 

Yup, that would be copper aventurine spatter.
