It looks like Bachmann 1968, but I'm not finding a match for the signature or style.

@Aquitaine - I just looked in JoLeander's media page after she mentioned she put it in art gallery. It was slightly over the 1MB limit so I just grabbed it & cropped it with my Corel program.

In popular usage, an heirloom is something that has been passed down for generations through family members. Examples are antiques or jewelry.

The term originated with the historical principle of an heirloom in English law, a chattel which by immemorial usage was regarded as annexed by inheritance to a family estate. Loom originally meant a tool. Such genuine heirlooms were almost unknown by the beginning of the twentieth century.[1]

    1968..... not an heirloom...

    Just sayin..

I do think that sometimes we use the word "heirloom" in an emotional context. Something that's been passed down to us which we value because of sentiment.

It belonged to my uncle and was passed to my mom when he died. It then went to my dad and then to me. So actually only 2 generations but in the family for many, many years. If i used heirloom in a context that was offensive here then my apologies.
