Thanks komoka, any ideas of servicing the striker it won't go all the way down to light I gather these things don't have safety catches so was going to add a little lubricant to it any suggestions please cheers chris

I've taken those apart...but putting it back together is tricky.
I see no problem hitting it with some lube of your choice.....but cover the wick.

Doesn't the lighter part lift out of the holder?

It does but it's not striking and lighting the lever doesn't push down all the way to strike
