Anyone recognize this "M" on a pressure cap?

I'm still looking and still drawing a blank.
Thing is...I KNOW I've seen it before.

I got it - a Maxwell! Gee, I have looked off and on since this was posted with no luck. Then this morning I was going through some of my grandfather's genealogy papers when I remembered my mother saying he had own some Franklin and Maxwell automobile stock that he took quite a beating on with the stock market collaspe in '29. On googling Maxwell came up with the following.

Terry, here is a restored 1915 Maxwell with the same ornament. You have to work through the pictures/slides to about the 14th picture that is a close-up of the cap with the M.

I was able to capture the pic of the cap using capture on my iPad. Have inserted the pic below. I wanted to find a pic of the cap actually on a Maxwell for am leery of eBay auction descriptions.

    BIG Kudos, Sue!
I was going through everything I could think of, Mercury, to Marmon, to Mercer. How I missed Maxwell is beyond me...I mean...after all....JACK BENNY drove a Maxwell. Who could POSSIBLY forget that?

Thank you. I thought he was just a secret agent. I always preferred 99.

Gee, am I slow today. Terry, I bet I looked at your reply a good couple of minutes before I could figure out secret agent and 99 - Maxwell Smart and Agent 99 of Get Smart. I would not be surprised that in a 100,ooo to 300,000 years someone will open a time capsule and out will fall segments if that series resulting in the 1960s being called 2nd Neanderthal Period.
