Rolex Watch

don't count out Pawn Shops to find a reasonable rolex. (as "Reasonable" as a rolex can be.....)

 

If I were buying, I'd go to a specialist watch auction, your competiton would be people who need a retail profit margin, and won't chase a particular watch, but I'd leave a commission bid in case someone ran you up for a laugh. The watch would be genuine, at least. And there is usually a fair amount of choice.

 

Update: DH's watch arrived last week. He is a very happy camper. I can get a cat now.

 

Rescue kitties need homes. Get a pair! If he can get a Rolex, you can get two self-propelled fur coats.

 

Plus, they keep each other company while you are out of the house.

 

And what one doesn't shed on, the other will!

Ecstatic! It was FREE. Mom got it with a magazine subscription. It is the ugliest colour I've ever seen -- super-shiny copper-coloured. And it's big and heavy. However, it does work...

 

It's a better timekeeper than the finest you could have bought 200 years ago.
