The most immovable(unsalable) antique

First overly large, unsellable item: giant stapler. Second, Big Ben Bottle Capper. Third - you'll have trouble seeing it all under the pile, but it's an old, table-top mangle. None is worth the price of shipping.

 

Similar big junk, a saddler's vice, springy wood about 4 feet high.


And some form of turf cutter with a massive handle, over 3 feet across, cranked iron shaft and blade.



Afterthought, the turf cutter may be for lifting paving slabs.

 

They would go nuts for that last thing around here. Odd old rusty tools are big here.

 

Even I like that last item... and am not really into that sort of thing. It's just so strange, yet also aesthetically pleasing to me.

 

I'm in one of those rare areas where primitives still draw interest

Unhappily I am in an area where it is primitive. But I am pretty sure I know what it is now, a pavior's slab lifter.

It was in the garden for a couple of years till a space opened up in the garage for it. Very rust resistant so I think it is wrought iron, not steel.

 

I wish I still had this, but it got "donated". A Burroughs Computometer adding machine. Another 25 lb "portable" machine.
