Featured Is this condiment/cruet set a child's toy?

Here's the information I was able to gather on this darling little set: I think it's pressed Sandwich glass and pewter (or pewter & tin?) c. late 1800's. Please let me know if I'm wrong! There are no discernable maker marks, just what I think are tiny measurements(?) on the side of the stand's base. What I'm most curious about is whether or not it's a toy - none of the little bottles are more than 4" high and the rotating caddy is just a bit over 6" tall. Wouldn't a set for actual dining be larger in size?

Looks like something a sick person would like brought to their sick bed on a tray..
With a fresh salad, of course! ;)

Geez, I don't know. Now they just look like scratches, but maybe someone with better eyes will make something out. I'm also including something that now looks like a heart, plus a shot of the underside of the base. I think I was seeing things last night! :nailbiting:

Could you be more precise on your measurements as to the "where to where". If the total bottle, from the very bottom to the top of the stopper is only 4", then the 'caddy' has to be taller than 6" from the very bottom to the top of the finial.

The bottles actually sit down in the circles of the holder and are suspended.

Oh, that's really interesting! Thank you. How lovely the place settings must have been on the Victorian dining table.

I'm coming late to the party, but...I think you'll find the bottles are blown, not pressed. I have no opinion on the manufacturer.
