My wife is using this bowl (?) to keep her sewing machine needles in and wanted to know should I put it in my china cabinet or just let her use it for storage. I bought this off of Ebay years ago but that's about all I can remember about it. It has the same pattern on both sides of the bowl. Any Info will be appreciated. Its 4" tall and 7" across the very top.

There is a maker (initials & Co) below the Indian Jar pattern name. I can't see them clearly, but you may have a better shot at it in person.

Whether it's flow blue is a matter for someone else.

That's one heck of a cup - hopefully for soup and not an alcoholic drink! Although I can always tell my wife "I only had ONE drink" :) Plus I'm skeptical but hopeful on the Flow Blue - it is very dark blue in hand.

It looks like flow blue to me. That kind of pottery isn't bringing what it used to; I'd let the wife use it for pins. It won't hurt anything as long as the cat doesn't knock it onto the floor.

Not a problem - no cat. The wife is allergic to cat hair.
Plus "Oliver" is enough for me to take care of besides the ducks.
He pretty much has taken over the couch but he just needs to cover up at times - LOL!!

It's flow. Either a slop bowl or a sugar bowl: those were large back then.

Thanks - I may have to rethink about putting it in my china cabinet and give my wife a tupperware bowl to put her sewing needles in - :singing:

Just be sure it's not one of the valuable ones.(LOL) Some Tupperware can be worth money.

    Hi Evelyb,
EEEEEEEEEEK:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:. I always said I would get out of the business when Tupperware started to bring money. Unfortunately or fortunately The only Tupperware pieces bring big money are the originals which just say Tupper NOT Tupperware. I have several Tupper pieces (measuring spoons, salt and peppers etc).

I'd use it. So much nicer than plastic and it's not hugely valuable.
