Featured Odd Ring Identification Help

To me it doesn't look like modern soldering was used, but an open fire method. Years ago I had an instructor show me how they soldered pre irons. Taught one method using open fire and a tube. Was interesting and fun, although really scary. I'm not nervous at all using a torch with fine silver. But I was pretty terrified lol.

 

I'd have jumped on that ring too. I like the primitive ones sometimes.

 

The metalwork rather reminds me of some Spanish stuff. Mexican in your neck of the woods perhaps.
