I bought this platter at a flea market today for $5.00.
I think it is Chinese export ware.
Hopefully it is antique? It measures 14x17" (36x44cm)
Someone thought enough if it to have several chips professionally repaired.
I took a lot of photos.
    Any thoughts?

Below you can see the restoration to the chipped edge.

    Really????
I'm so excited! How old do you think might be?
    Maybe 1870s-90s?

    Hi,
That is what I used on Thanksgiving. Mine was a bit larger than yours. Mine was 24" b y 29" A nice 25 lb turkey fit perfectly.

is this a zigzag pattern? and it is true that some text was carved on the bottom and part of the bottom is polished (see your 1 bottom pic) 20200518_090210 (2).jpg .

There are no marks at all. Just these striations from a tool, or the firing surface.

the bottom, the edge decoration and the blue pigment looks strange. it could be an 19 chinoiserie platter

    beautiful one!

when you serve turkey on top, pls be careful using knife not to scratch the surface too much!
