I had several of those style baskets in the 1980s. My were made in the Philippines.

It's a coco fiber basket, sold through craft shops, florists, and some garden supply shops. As Greg said, from the Philippines.

You can find them on eBay, with added rabbit fur and yarn, being sold as "Native American," and those listings are often picked up by a bot somewhere and appear on other sites, which people use to identify their own items. But a web search for "coco fiber baskets" will show the suppliers who sell them wholesale...and the baskets all come from the Philippines.
