    Do they have any maker's marks on the bottom? Post some pics of the bottoms, even if not marked, please.

    If you see in the little cup it says something but not sure if it's makers mark. I will post pics of the bottom.

    battleship Nagato pictured pre WW2: Admiral Yamamoto's flagship during the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941, she was the only Japanese battleship to survive WW2 in floating condition, albeit seriously damaged..

    Could be her....

    I've been searching around and find some of these sake sets described as either China/Chinese War and/or WWII. I don't know how to tell the difference.

    I also discovered there are a few books out there solely devoted to the subject of these military commemorative sake bottle and cups.
    Darn, I lost the link to a really good blog site with good info. Will try to re-find it.

    Didn't find a set exactly like your's, which I think has really nice graphics.

    Thank you for the links, I've also have tried doing some research but can't seem to find any like this one. I do love the graphics though.

    According to the inscription, this commemorates completion of a tour of duty. These seem to have been common souvenirs in the Japanese Navy.
