chinese colored fabric on foil/paper

I was at value village thrift store looking at this art work in a frame and decided to see if there was a signature on the back of it , so i opened it up and found this foil one hiding behind the first one. when i started to look to see if they were block print or dot print i was able to tell that they are cut paper, glued down to the foil and paper backing . i have never seen this before , have you . chinese/ japanese ?

 

Look like Chinese opera mask papercuts.
