Featured E.R coronation 1953 letter opener

    so found this in an old box, not silver tho its made by the atkin brothers who made silver items aswell as silver plate, this was plate maybe as u see in pics no Silver at all to be seen lol, cant find ANY reference to this item other than the Sterling Silver Version , is it Just a bit of old tat???     It would make an unusual and distinctive murder weapon. Otherwise I'd say it is just a paperknife. The advanced model opens e-mails as well.

    No EP or EPNS with the Ha Ea Fa? Then it never had plating to begin with.

    No "melt value" for sure. Whether there is any interest in it as memorabilia you'll need to search online - GB or Commonwealth country sites, I would think.

    Looks like the HA EA FA, each in its own cartouche (as the paper mentions.)

    the 3 sets of letters r the initials of the 3 atkins Brothers who made it , made in Sheffield UK and they had a Shop in London
