The finds this weekend were dolls. I found many single Barbies, modern, and Disney items, deboxed and played with, that do well online. I also found too very nice Barbies in boxes for just $2, should have bought more. My best finds were these.

The dolls in the case have a short story. The guy had the case out, all beat up, and the Tina Cassini brunette along with the TNT Barbie head/Francie body doll. All of that was $15. I asked him if he had any more dolls, and he rooted around and found my Truly Scrumptious. She had blue all over her face, and I didn't know if it would come off, so he gave her to me for $8. The blue did come off with just water.

I have always wanted a Truly Scrumptious doll. My mother said I was too old to play with dolls at age 11 and I never got her. She is from 1969.

Her face paint is very good. I love how her one eyebrow is different.

Then I walked down a row where hardly anyone was set up. I picked up the little redhead doll and saw the words American Girl, and then I saw the blonde. The guy only wanted $5 for both. These are American Girl Well Wishes dolls, and on their website they go for $60 each NIB. The little redhead is limited, and the blonde is on back order now. I guess they are something new in the line; they are smaller, maybe for little girls because they are easier to handle and play with.

Oops. These are Wellie Wishers. The redhead is not limited. Link for reference in case you see them around.

And as I was leaving, I saw a box on the ground. It had this silver plate set in it. Even though it has issues, I thought it was too beautiful to leave behind for $10.

WKRP broadcast from that, right? :chicken::chicken::chicken: (there's no emoji for dropped turkeys)

That would be a bit of a ...bear ... or a ... sticky wicket.... (ducking now)

Yep. Both Cincinnati's early television and radio stations used to be a big deal, largely due to Powel Crosley Jr. and his Crosley Radio Corporation. Not many people know the name these days but he was an important industrialist in his time.

To me it's an old car manufacturer, but I seem to remember hearing it associated with radios too.

Picked up a piece of a Havdalah set yesterday. I had to go past the Ill WIll again today after dropping something off for a friend... and there sat another piece. Silver over glass. Two bucks. A friend is getting it sooner or later.
