    Silver then, which is unusual. It's a Duette style clip, but many made those. Patented in the 30s. I think yours is 50s.

  4. i figured it couldn't be too old because of the clasp, but 50s is good! do you think the stones would be paste?

    Agree, 50s at the latest. And also agree somewhat unusual to see a duet dress clip in silver.
