How can i test if these are silver?

two horses & one donkey

They are very heavy. 5-6 inches long 4-5 inches high

No noticable marks found

 

They don't look silver to me, but you never know. Heavy usually means a base metal.

If you have more possible silver items, you could buy a test kit.

Yes, I read that after I posted the first time, that's why I edited it.
That means it is highly unlikely that they are silver.

 

Wasnt sure if a fault in making or a mark

They might be pewter. They look like someone has had a go casting using a low temperature melting point pot metal but very much doubt they are silver.

I’ve picked up this sort of thing at yard sales etc but the heavy weight is an indicator of not being silver. If you have a check through the silver forum there’s lots of silver finding tips especially from MRNATE.

If you are talking about the round mark on the tail of the horse, it appears to be a sprue mark - from where the metal was injected into the mold during casting.

 

I thought it wasnt anything important but i don't know anything about the making of them. Thank you

BY NO MEANS SAYING IT'S SILVER, BUT it COULD be a mark.......comparison in size below.....to me looks like a man's face with a beard.....no editing other than to sharpen with enlarging....ooops too big.....let me fix.....there.....not sure it helps identify though.....

This one NOT MINE was advertised as internet as vintage silver plated. Same type of mark


After looking a lot on line now...

I see a few very similar with same type of mark most said silver plate.

Could it be specific marks for plated items not real silver.

 

Does yours have any marks at all. Have you tested for silver plated?
