Looks black, but it is dark green. I believe that it is hand blown. Some of the air bubbles have risen and can be felt on the surface. I have taken some pictures holding it upwards towards a cloudy sky. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to view my thread!!!

    Welcome, frn4life!

I am not a glass person, but you will get more of the right eyes on your thread if you put the word "Glass" in your thread title. You should be able to edit it now, but don't wait too long because edit permissions expire at some point.

Looks like a 1960s wine bottle to me. :)

    I'd call it a carafe.

Is the medallion indented, pressed into the body or is it a separate piece applied to the surface? Are the rings around the neck applied or part of the mold?

Sorry for all the questions, but I can't tell for sure from the pics. :watching::peeking:

The rings and the medallion are part of the glass-mold.

It has bubbles in them as well. Seems as if whomever made it wanted the bubbles to be displayed in the piece.

The medallion is not indented. It sticks out about 1/16th of an inch.

It is a carafe and a very popular item in the 1970s (although most were clear glass.)

Would the medallion be a makers mark or just for like decoration? Thank you again for your help!!!

I believe that this one, which sold recently on eBay, may be similar to yours. It seems to have the same "four dots" on the medallion and is probably from the same maker:

Other similar carafes, like the one below (with a different medallion) were made in Italy:

I would suggest a late 20th century date, at the earliest, due to the popularity of wine carafes at that time, both for actual use and for decoration. It may, of course, be newer even that that.

I'd be looking at Scandinavian. Several glass makers made these, and they go well back to the 1950s. I've a Holmegaard one made for Cherry Elsinore. I've seen this one before, but I can't recall who made the thing off hand.

Thank you so much!! This is almost exactly like the one I have, except for the color and the air bubbles in it. I wish that I could figure out who made it.
