I am trying to verify that this spool cabinet is a Goff's. If any one has any knowledge of these I would appreciate the help. I have another one that is definitely a Goff's but no markings on this one and cannot find one with white knobs. It stands 27" tall. Iggy and Alice, lovely avatar picture of the two of you, hadn't seen that yet.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Could it have been refinished or altered in some other way? The white pulls don't look right to me with that color of wood... but it may just be me.

    Hi,
Those white pulls just jar me a bit also. I think someone "tarted" the cabinet up with them, I am thinking plain wood knobs.

Thank you both. I felt the same way. I do believe it might be a Goff's but there are none I am finding with those knobs. The knobs are old but I don't believe they belong. Again, thanks and we'll just push on. The thrill of the hunt, you know

You know, Greg, I've long wondered about those white knob things.

My Mom worked for Ethan Allen for many years, and I remember all of their heavy, dark pine furniture (perhaps because Mom bought it for our "playroom"...) Every single drawer & door had those white knobs.

Did the stuff Ethan Allen was "copying" have them, too?

I feel the same way actually...
I'm pretty sure I saw a lot of this.

I too remember the knobs. Maybe this is not a God's. There are quite a few of these thread holders or whatever it is but not so much the dark wood
