Featured Need help identifying these two vases

    Hi,

    Clearing out my father's house, which does include some items from his grandfather who spent some time in Hong Kong in the early 1900s. I'm not sure if these two vases came from there, but if anyone can help identify them (and age) it would be immensely helpful to the family. They both have a small wooden stand, although I'm not convinced they originally came with the vessels.

    Apologies for the lack of scale, they are both approx 8 inches tall (possibly slightly less, I don't have them with me presently).

    I’m no expert but they look like Japanese Ginbari but wait for others more knowledgeable.

    Houseful has it exactly. ginbari cloisonne, Japanese, Meiji period

    I don't think these two are ancient, but they're pretty. Thirds or fourths on the ginbari.
