Bead necklace: style, material and age?

    I rescued this from the "free box" when I saw 925 on the clasp.
    Large, heavy, unabashedly showy in the light.

    I would have rescued it too!
    The work of a crafter, perhaps.
    I think you have mixed glass beads. The pony bead (between the two blossoms) is probably plastic, because I can see a mold seam on it.
    My guess is 1980s-2000s because of the lobster clasp.
    If it were mine, I would remove the U shaped and blossom shaped beads.
    Maybe even rearrange the sterling beads so more of them are in the front of the necklace.
    Then it would be totally wearable.

    Thank you! I feel better about removing the clasp and adding it to my silver pile.
