My grandfather had plans for a garage key business wayyy back in the 1980s but nothing ever happened. I guess this isnt really antique but it still looks cool.
It is missing the rubber v-belt that connects the two pulleys but that shouldn't be too hard to replace.
We still use ours. As Spring said, the rubber belt is replaceable. Cluttered - is your husband a locksmith, too?
No, he took that mail order course to be a locksmith in the mid 80s. He was going to do like hotwheel's granddad and do it out of the garage. Didn't happen. He does still cut keys for family and neighbors, but that's it.
My husband graduated from college in 1968 and got his draft notice two days later. While he was in the Navy, he learned to change the office and safe locks. Came home and decided to stick with it and took the mail order course as well! That was 1974 and we're still in business and our son is taking over. (If Dad would just retire and get out of his way!)
The orange machine is the one I use. He carries the Belsaw in his van. The Framon and the grinder are also in the shop. Someone just gave us the blue one. Don't know what he plans to do with it.

Nope. All the lighthouses are in Iceland. Hubby's last duty station in the Navy was with the Icelandic Defense Force Joint Reserve Unit and we spent four years going over to Iceland several times a year. Fabulous place if you ever get to go there. Only four hours from Boston.

You may end up at the tourist restaurant where they want you to eat a cube of rotten shark. Don't do it unless you remember to not breathe and to have a shot of Brennevin ready.
Hi, Be sure to stay at Tivoli at night until it closes. Fireworks every night. I have friends who live in a 26 story apartment a few blocks from Tivoli, everynight fireworks from their terrace. As Bev says it is magical. As to Iceland where else can you sit in a hot spring with snow everywhere. I have photos with 6"of snow on top of my head, I would show them but them but the spring is known for no clothing. greg

Wow! Never occurred to me it was that close! I visited the restored watch tower in Cape May on Memorial Day on which there was the dedication and recognition of veterans. Up there I discovered and saw that there is another on the other side of the Cape. The infamous 'they' tried to destroy it to build a hotel there. 'They' couldn't....so it's part of the hotel!
The metal filings constantly get swept up. One day a couple of weeks ago I made 82 keys. Usually only a couple of dozen a day.
