    Welcome, Heimdal92. I'm afraid your pictures have been taken too far away from your item to see enough detail to help. Can you do better? What are you using to take the pictures and then to edit them?

    Some sunlight might help too.

    No, the pictures are awful.
    Use a macro lens to take photos and crop the pic so the subject can be seen.
    Check full image.

    The inscription is easily read, what's not easy to see from your pictures is any detail on the construction or the actual silver maker's marks/hallmarks. The pictures of the maker's mark and/or hallmarks are out of focus. The rest of them are poorly lit and don't show much detail.

    If the letters you are talking about are the ones that appear to have been scratched into the surface, those are not official silver marks in any jurisdiction.

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Well lit pictures in the Daytime would have been much better, and without using Flash!!!! However!! I do NOT see what you see, @Heimdal92, using Photoshop and a filter named TopazAI.......I see K. Buka, then maybe a 1 then 8 d 7 in the first image I edited, and in the second image I edited I do NOT see 'PH, PH' but instead see CH, CH....if you look CAREFULLY!!!

    These are scratched in and usually mean a jeweler made a repair.
    upload_2020-8-25_21-1-24.png

    These are most likely the maker's marks.
    Sometimes polishing the area will make the letters stand out. Do you have a jeweler's cloth you could use?

    @Aquitaine
    I think it is a "1" - there's a lot of scratches around it.
    I see K. Buka or Bulca

    I don't think this is a trophy.

    Does anyone else think this might be a religious chalice?

    @Heimdal92
    It might help us if you could polish it and take pictures outside.
    Use a soft cloth, not a t-shirt. You don't want to scratch it any more than it already is.

    Buka seems to be an Albanian name . All conjecture of course till we get clear pics. From what I can see it looks like an interesting piece.

    kyratango Bug jewellery addiction!

    :rolleyes:Now we have digital cameras or phone which can take crisp pics and close-up without wasting film ;)

    Keep in mind you have the piece in hands and we have only your pics to go from...:cyclops::bucktooth:

    Please don't make things more complicated for us to help you!:D
