    Hi everyone! I am the assistant curator for the George C. Marshall House, a historic house museum in Leesburg, Virginia. I've created this account to get some questions answered about objects around the house. I hope you all will be happy to help and come visit us soon!

    We just LOVE "objects around the houses" here.................its our life's blood and daily amusement! And if any of the (very) knowledgeable folks here don't know the answers, they surely know how to find the answers............

    Jeepers! THAT George Marshall! I had no idea the house was an historic site. He was a "mighty" man. When I was younger and my OCD would kick in, Papa would always say that the only person more organized than I was George Marshall.........Papa worked with him (peripherally) after the war.

    Welcome to the group! Looking forward to the pieces you will be discussing. I'm not the most knowledgeable on historic items, but always interested in digging in on something from the past. There's so much to learn about a historical piece and the person.
