I'm thinking that the necklace is 80s and solid brass (apart from clasp) and the thin stamped out bracelet 40s but want to ask others here who know better if they agree.
The necklace is only 15 ins long and 1 inch wide and is quite heavy at 230 grams. The conical 'shell' shapes are possibly plastic it's hard to tell, though I think the bracelet ovals real MOP. Thanks. I can't get pics of full fronts and backs so I'll try again~ image.jpg image.jpg

Based on the new pictures, I would say the gold tone necklace is 1960s. The bracelet is probably about the same age or just a little bit earlier. I don't think I would put it in the 1940s.

    Wait for other opinions.

I'd add 10 years to the necklace, because of the style of chain used....imo...

Given its (over)scale, boldness, and incorporation of CHANEL design elements, I would put the gold tone necklace in the 1980s.

Thank you all for your input.
Sorry about the double thread, it's a problem for me as I don't even know what all the symbols above my text in this box mean. I've only just discovered the emoji things

Hover over them with your cursor and it will tell you what they.

As to how you use them all, I don't know either.

No cursor with an ipad mini. These little tablets are pretty good for most things but some things you just can't do.
At least now I have used the edit button. First time deleting pictures so I'm feeling computer smarter already!

The necklace is definitely late 50s into the 60s; it looks way too short for the 80s, and the clasp could easily be early 60s. The length of a choker is a dead giveaway as to its age. The shorter they are, the older they are. This one looks like it's meant to fit inside one of those early 60s jewel neck dresses. The bracelet is a good decade older.

Thanks Evelyb, the necklace was a bit of a toss up for 60s or 80s in my mind and wanted to see what the board thought. It's a bit too tight for me to wear unfortunately, requires someone with a swanlike.

I see 1930-40 on the bracelet

Yep, 60s for sure. Choker lengths are a sure pointer towards the age. I've seen pieces from pre-1940 that are only a foot long. They were meant for adults.

As evelyb said, it's the clasp that points to 1960s

Not sure a box clasp in and of itself proves 1960s dating. Here, for instance, is a vintage 1980s bracket from Dominique Denaive of Paris with same.

The individual floral links on the bracelet seem like late 1800s early 1900s to me.

I would have guessed 80's on the necklace. Just so heavy looking -- I think of 60's chokers as being less physically heavy, less chunky. Does have a bit of an 80's Chanel feel, too.

Bracelet, not so sure. Some parts remind me of 40's, but stylistically a bit of a question.

    Interesting pair.

Whether 60's or 80's on the necklace, probably doesn't impact value one iota. Both decades are desirable.
