Okay, so here are the cuff links I mentioned in the FINDS thread earlier today. (This is ONE pair...)

They're marked STERLING and nothing else. Each of the rounds is about 1/2 inch in diameter. The colors are enamel, and the tops are a slightly domed glass. (They actually remind me of miniature versions of the horse "roses" discussed here somewhere, not too long ago.)

I apologize for the photo quality. Too much glare... They're tiny, and the light just isn't right at the moment.

Cute! But the images are more "steeplechase" than fox hunting IMHO.

I love these...! In a previous life, I hung out with a lot of button collectors. There were many cuff links in button collections. I seem to remember these being from around the 20's...

Can't help with daring them but they're definitely of age and just want to say I love them and think they're very salable.

Reverse molded and painted glass, best guess. If you're seriously lucky they're essex crystal; that's carved rock crystal painted in reverse.

My dad had a pair of costume cufflinks with this scene, he loved them. Nice find!

Bakers, I do believe you're right! Steeplechase it is, then!

Evelyb, for what it's worth, the "paint" is definitely enamel on the silver itself, not on the glass.

Thanks so much, Evelyb & AJ!

Obviously, I know NOTHING about this stuff! Even looking at these with my loupe today, I would almost swear that the painting was on the silver, but obviously, I'm wrong.

Thanks for setting me straight and correctly ID'ing my sweet little cuff links! I'm delighted with them, and even moreso, with knowing what they are.

Now you know why you bought that box, so these sweet little cufflinks could go on to their perfect forever home.:happy::happy::happy:

    Thanks, Owned.

I don't know how they got in that box with all the military stuff, but I'm certainly glad they did! (Of course, as previously mentioned, my daughter has already latched on to them!)

They'd sell very very well here. I could see them at eighty quid in a shop in a horsey area.
