So you stood and bent over the table to do all the work? I know the feeling.

Your fingers will hurt next (unless you're going to have someone else sew them on with a machine.)

I'm actually on the couch with the jacket spread out to be pinned. Everything per section is mostly laid out and photographed except for small items and a few on the way in the mail.
My fingers do hurt along with my thumbs that are proving to be of issue after some 44 years or so of fabrication. :p

I sew on the couch, too. Love the treasures in that $5 box- GO NAVY!!! I would like to see the medals in there.

I went to a dumb jewelry party today, hate them, love the hostess, so I went. Bought just a pendant for $39, then $4 for "handling" then tax. They were telling us how much a seller makes, how much a party hostess makes, and I am thinking "hmm, 80% markup on this stuff already." But I digress.

I dropped clothing off at a thrift shop, found the pearls below. Necklace $1, bracelet $1.50 (newer). Pearls TS Tuckerton.jpg

Was it one of those L.S. parties? I've never been; people know better than to invite me to a party selling new jewelry.(LOL) Those look like Chinese freshwater pearls.

I went out hunting today, but other than a brand new mini muffin pan for my sister (already in its new home) I didn't find much of note. Did manage to get back for my other gold hoop today. They'll melt nicely. (modern and mass produced = melt me!) There's a synagogue sale on Friday, but I'm not holding out much hope for that either.

It was a P one. I think LS went under.... I did like their stuff just slightly better. It cracks me up when people at a yard sale are trying to get what they paid for it.

Yeah, probably Chinese freshwater pearls, mostly all are now....but the prices are more to my liking than P or LS.

I may hit the farther-away flea market tomorrow... I have to say, the finds there have been better even though it is very small. But the big one has the best lemon water ice and hot dogs, not that I should have either.

I stash anything valuable away for retirement in a safety deposit box, don't keep stuff in the home.... or when the gold prices go high. I figure I got one more big gold hike coming before I kick the bucket.

Modern costume .... as if. I see PD stuff around from time to time. Can't say I'm impressed.

This is who I found giving me the evil eye this evening.

Part of it's just the camera angle, but she does get called Tailcat sometimes.

I found very little in the past days of many sales and miles.

Chatting with the back neighbor tonight. He was cutting some small trees out. I told him I was going to cut the pecan tree of mine. It's growing nice. Gives stunning gold foliage for five days in the fall. But doesn't seem like it's going to be productive and is shading the garden. A while later I went out to plot my cutting strategy...

My sailor uncle had a pecan tree in Virginia.... he always brought us up pecans when he came, they were soooooo good.

Marko -- I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing how you helped care for him. He was very lucky to have you and it is clear you felt likewise. That dress is perfect!

Got that ring from last week cleaned up a bit. Whoever said gold doesn't tarnish...never met this ring. Turned a piece of my sunshine cloth black. The butterfly/moth turned up yesterday; it's unsigned Navajo silver and turquoise and is in desperate need of some paste polish. The flash makes it look better than it is.
