small tea plates /seconds or samples?

    good morning all.i have 4 of these 7 inch tea plates in different designs,all with different numbers to the rear I always wondered if these were seconds or samples??,any help would be appreciated.many thanks 20200823_113457.jpg 20200823_113334.jpg

    Are the "different" designs all flowers? I remember my grandmother and her friends had wall or cabinet displays of small plates, each a different design but similar enough in colors and style to form an attractive "set."

    I doubt very much that they would be "seconds" (which I don't think ever existed as a category to be sold until post WW2 20th century.)

    The numbers seems to be in European style and to have been applied by the decorator company.

    I suspect early 20th C German cabinet plates.
