Need help with S.T Dupont lighter!

Discussion in 'Antique Discussion' started by Nauzet Perdomo-ponsford, Jul 26, 2017.

  1. Hello everyone, just found this little gem this morning, having a hard time trying to find it online but I have determined that it is a genuine due to the misaligned numbers etc... I'd just like to know what the name of this lighter is and what kind of valuation I'm looking at, any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, Nauzet, and welcome!

Joshua is correct; folks will want to see a few more photos. (When you post them, please be sure to select "full size" instead of "thumbnail".)

I've taken the liberty of cropping & posting your original picture here:

  4. Thank you both for your replys, I do have more photos but it's not allowing me to upload the files due to them being "too large" don't know what to do

That's a good start, Nauzet, but your Album is set to Private so we can't see the pictures, yet. If you change the setting to Public, that should resolve the issue.

Always make your photos 480 x whatever number shows up.
You'll never have trouble using the full image button. :)
You can load up to 10 photos post.

It looks like a circa 1980's Line 2 silver plated lighter.
Missing it's flint wheel...& one base cover.....( not good...but findable..)

These lighters have been heavily faked....& even complete in working condition yours is not one of their high value sought after models.

Does it PING when flicked open ?

  11. Thanks for the information everyone, yes it pings when it opens but due to the age of it and the fact it hasnt been very well looked after, it's not in the shape it used to be in, I'm not struggling to decide what to do with it
