I think you are right, a lot of these glass bottles had plastic inserts on the top, or some kind of stopper, the silver rim does not look original to me, it's not long enough. Could also be a vanity set bottle, as they did not give a size. Here is a small image of a perfume bottle in a similar shape, same color decor and missing it's perfume bottle cap or top. This was in a Czech glass exhibit in 2012, and owned by the descendants of this Ruckl glass family. They produce cut and etched clear crystal goods now, since 1992.

    HOOOOOOOAAAAWWWW!!!!!!!!!!
My parents lived in Montreal, where I am from too. Used to buy big cans, 1000ml for $6. and bring them home 20 years ago.
Here you are lucky to buy a bottle of cheap syrup at the econo store, the amber type, for $9.00 for 350ml. Still miss Quebec real French bread, croissants and all the good real French stuff. :bigtears::bigtears::bigtears::bigtears::bigtears:

When I was a kid growing up in NH we could scoot up to Montreal and only the driver of the car had to show ID. Oh, boy. Now it's so strict. My mother's tortierre was better than the restaurants up there, but it was still good to eat the food up t here

I know Bev, that trip was so easy, we would scoot down to Lake Champlain USA often, just for a change of pace, and the nice area for lunch. Things are changing here and there as well of course. Too bad we can't hang on to the good things from the recent past. :)

We did it a few times when I was a kid too; they were more concerned with the fresh fruit in your picnic basket than about drugs or explosives. Things definitely have changed, and not for the better.

Sounds like my basement growing up! My late dad had a full HO layout in half the basement of a ranch house. He was more into live steam and bigger toy trains, but any old Baldwin in a storm. I recently found an Altoona Museum keychain at a yard sale and handed it to a live train junkie friend. You'd have though it was made of gold. Sound familiar?

Sort of, lol. He is away for a few days, I will ask him about Altoona when he comes back. It's funny but these old model trains are also being transformed with new technology, they have a remote control now like a big paddle to run the trains and switch the crossings on the rails, and so on. They also have sound and light gizmos they can install in them. I think it's amusing, old boys with their toys. As long as he finds it entertaining and satisfying for hours every week, I'm glad he's got something to focus on.

You know where he is and what he's doing, and he's not getting into trouble ... much. It's a good thing, even if your 10 year-old is bald or gray, if not both!

    That made me laugh...LOL
10 year old going on 5. Loves his food even if it does not like him anymore.

Yes, I know where he is, kind of a home body anyway. Yet, we both like our space and our own past times. Not bald, but pretty grey and getting that frail look of being past 70. Pretty good shape for a very old boy, I tell him. He walks the dogs every morning, and still maintains the yard. Can't complain. :joyful:

Bohemian spatter splatter cased glass work. Try it via google under images for comparison. Is the tip of the vase got a metal ring or certain kind of ring? The ring protects the vase (mouth or lip) tip from breaks/cracks whenever stemmed decors are set into it.

Are you explaining to me how to find out more about this glass piece, that I just bought and collect and study and already know about. It is not cased glass. It is Czech not Bohemian, the metal ring was an add on for something else, did you read the content of this post and all it's comments? Seems we have already covered all this information already...... from page 1 forward?
