i am as green as it comes when it comes to identifying antiques. I was intrigued by this piece because of the revolving doors and the secret latch that it has.
I am new here and hate to make my first post a question but I would really appreciate the help. If there are any other pics needed please let me know.

It is a bar cabinet, though I am not conversant enough to give you the exact age/era/period it was produced in. Lovely piece......................the experts will be along sometime today - we are international and times zones interfere with our postings............

Not sure I am convinced it is old.
I'm thinking someone used old wood parts to make a cabinet.
    Spindles and rails look wrong
Where the arrow is - Is that the way it was made or a repair?

Don't get me wrong, it is a lovely cabinet.
I just think it might not be antique.

The metal is part of the mechanics of the piece. The top and the right door function together and the front and the left door function together.

I really was wondering if any one had seen anything like it or knew what it was. The doors/shelves revolve together.

If (BIG if) I understand, when you open one door, all of the doors at the same time? Does lifting the top trigger anything?

Yes when you open the front door it opens the left door with all in the same motion. When you open the right side door slightly you have to reach in and release a hidden locking device and then the top and right side open together.

The hand carving and aesthetic/Eastlake spindles make it look like a Horner-esque Renaissance Revival piece ca. 1890. However, I agree that there are age issues. I wonder if it isn't one of those Philippine or southeast Asian pieces from the 1980s or 90s designed to look antique?

I was thinking along those lines too. There's what looks like a staple in the bottom, and that wood doesn't look oxidized; the secondary woods don't look old at all. That happens on internal pieces of really well-made antique furniture, but not to the bottom/back. I don't think this was actually made to fool anyone, just with old style decoration. It's decorative enough that I'd build the room around that instead of trying to fit it in somewhere.

Agree with the above. Bar cabinet, relatively new. Style is more Italian Renaissance but doubt it was made in Italy.
