    Thanks!! :happy::happy::happy:

    This lady had a tremendous shopping problem. I wish I would have posted the listing last week so you could have all seen the photos Bill took at the house before they started the packing. This stuff was crammed into multiple cabinets with stuff piled on top as well as underneath some & around the others on the floor. :jawdrop::jawdrop::jawdrop:

    She supposedly has at least 50 designer handbags such as Coach, Dooney & Burke, Markowsky & other that have never been used. We only got 5 of those on Friday so the family could see how well they would do.

    I can't wait to get the linens listed & hopefully will have them up some time this week. If anyone is not familiar with this type of linen, just check out the completed listings below.

    Bought a bunch of Cunard memorabilia that seems to be a cut above normal

    This cruise news gives a guide to the ship's services and is for her final cruise (495) starting on 8th November 1968 to Las Palmas and Gibraltar.

    Cant find anything about Mr Carrodus, though the secret voyage account in Wiki is Boys Own stuff!

    Odd. Wouldn't her final cruise be from there to NYC since I saw her leave for the last time to go to Long Beach, CA in '65?

    Those were the first we found while going through the stuff & the auctioneer found those. I found the rest while I was helping out on Wednesday. I had gone over there to see what they had found so far. Bill lamented the fact that "these old hankies use to sell for a lot of money" & put the boxes into another box which would have ended up on his Tuesday night sale.

    I plucked them out to start the box lot when I opened up the first box & saw the made in Portugal label. :D:D:D I ended up going back on Thursday since I really didn't get to preview the day before & that is when I found the mushrooms. All toll I was there for about 6 to 7 hours between the 2 days & never got to just go around to look, but digging through the boxes is definitely more fun as well as more rewarding. :smug::smug::smug::smug::smug:

    Something else to look for. All I ever see are those ladies' hankies with the crocheted edges. If I'm lucky.

    I will probably get either shot or banned to Paduca for this, but in the past I have used " those ladies' hankies with the crocheted edges" for cocktail napkins when something more fum than the run of the mill was called for..............along with 1960s silk head scarves as tablecloths and some godawful pink and white doilies and antimacassars as tray cloths.....................

    You have my blessings for the pink and white things. Best use for them I've ever seen. As for the silk head scarves, as long as they weren't vintage Hermes you're forgiven....
