    Anyone know what this holder thing is for? Measures one inch tall and the diameter of the dish is 2-1/2". Mark of the Howard Sterling Company.

    Looks like they're pretty hard to find, I found two that sold in the $125-$150. range so far.
    For such a small unassuming piece, I'd say that's pretty darn good. Now I have to polish it!

    No tea ball but the ones I found that sold didn't have a ball either. One didn't even have a makers mark, just marked sterling.
