Can anyone tell me what this eagle emblem is on this ring?

    This Josten Dura Tone ring is dated 1942. I got this with a another military field ring from Africa so I assume it is a military ring. Does this emblem mean anything specific or is it just a generic symbol?

    Well since I cannot find and WWII rings made by Josten. I am guessing this is a high school ring. There are Xavier Hawks and Xavier Falcons
